அன்புத் தமிழ்நெஞ்சங்களே ! 
 
பல குடும்பங்களும், அனாதைகளாக்கப் பட்ட குழந்தைகளும் அல்லலுறுகின்றனர். அடைப்பிலிருந்து வெளியேறிய இவர்களுக்கு உடனடி ஆதரவு ஓராண்டிற்காவது தேவை. அவர்களது உணவு,உறைவிடம்,உடுப்பு மற்றும் மற்ற தேவைகளை நிறைவு செய்ய வேண்டும்.இதில் அங்குள்ள தொண்டு நிறுவனங்கள் பங்காற்றுகின்றன. அவர்கள் மூலம் நாம் சிறிதளவாவது செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று உலகத் தமிழர் பேரவை உறுதிபூண்டுள்ளது.
யாழ் பகுதியில் 500, மன்னார் பகுதியில் 100,திருமலை பகுதியில்150 குழந்தைகட்கும்,புங்குடுத்தீவு அருகே வெளிவந்துள்ள 450 குடும்பங்கட்கும் உடனடித் தேவைகளைத் தொடங்குவோம். இது ஆதரவு தானே தவிரத் தத்தெடுப்பது இல்லை. மாதத்திற்கு ஒரு குழந்தைக்கு 30 அமெரிக்க டாலர்,குடும்பத்திற்கு 50 அமெரிக்க டாலர் என்று ஓராண்டிற்கு அன்பளிப்பை முழு தொகையாகவோ, மாதத் தவணையிலோ அனுப்புங்கள்.
 
பற்றுசீட்டுகளும்  இல்லம்களை பற்றிய தகவலும் உங்களுக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப்படும்.
 
நேரடியாக உதவி செய்வதற்கு முடியாமல் வெளிநாடுகளில் வசிக்கும் அநேகமான தமிழ்மக்களுக்காக,  இணையதளத்தின் ஊடாக இந்த சேவையை தொடக்கியுள்ளோம்.

Project information

Global Tamil Forum has initiated the SPONSOR A FAMILY OR CHILD project that calls for the relief assistance of orphaned children and destitute IDP families immediately following their release from camps. The first phase of this initiative will support a limited number of children and families.

Global Tamil Forum has enabled this online payment facility mainly for persons who do not have enough information on how to send the funds directly to the various orphanages.

The role of the sponsor is to provide financial assistance to enable the child or family to receive food, clothing, medicine and education. The sponsor is not an adoptive parent, neither has claim over the child, but will sponsor purely on a humanitarian basis.
It is recommended that a sponsor will continue to support the child or family until they are self-sufficient or for at least 12 months, however, there is no compulsion to do so. Payments can be made in full or monthly in 12 installments. For more information please refer to the pdf file (Information pack) below. Receipts issued by NGOs on the ground and related information will be sent to the sponsor by the Global Tamil Forum.

Funds can be trasferred through member organisations or directly through Global Tamil Forum.

Payments can be made through GTF Website. Please click Sponsorship Programs and Donations(on the right hand side) and select Sponsorship programs. Minimal Paypal processing fees will be included (please see note below).

Receipts will be issued by NGOs in Sri Lanka and sent to the sponsor's mailing address. Please participate and help make a difference in the life of a child. Please visit the website regularly for more updates.

Note:

This project is managed by a dedicated team of volunteers and there are no administration fees from Global Tamil Forum. For online transactions, Paypal charges 3.9% + 30p for each transaction and that has been taken into account for payments.
